September 12th, 2007 by Suzanne NormanWe sent a quick note to all our clients today letting them know about some interface changes in their account, and I just have to share one reply we got. It’s from Sondra Santos LaBrie, who heads up the email marketing efforts for Kane/Miller Book Publishers, a thoughtful, independent children’s book publisher in California. Her opening paragraph made us laugh out loud. Okay, some of us may have even chortled a little. Anyway, here’s her note:
Dear Emma,
I don’t understand how it happened, but in the last 12 months of working with your company, I have slowly started to look more like Emma. In fact, I’m beginning to wonder if I should change my name. Many people who I work with primarily through email are surprised that I use the Emma icon to describe myself so they can recognize me when we finally meet face-to-face.
Maybe we’re biased, but we think you’re in good (looking) company, Sondra.
