Announcing the Emma 25 honorees!

Emma 25 logo

We’re proud to announce the 2008-2009 Emma 25 honorees. For five years now, Emma has donated email marketing startup & service to small non-profits, from more than 150 nominations from our customers.

The idea is that these non-profits could use Emma accounts to stay in touch with donors, coordinate volunteers and spread the word about the great work they do.

These non-profits made the list after nearly 5,000 votes. Thousands of people now are aware of some truly great projects out there, and we’re looking forward to helping these organizations do more good work in 2009.

  2. Suzanne Norman Suzanne Norman says:

Thanks for the kind words, Tara. Cheers!

  3. Allison says:

How does a non-profit receive consideration for your free service?

  4. Edwin Acevedo says:

Hey, thanks for asking, Allison. We started this program 5 years ago as a way to donate email marketing to worthy non-profits that:

    1) help people in the community
    2) have a 501c3 designation, and
    3) don’t already work with Emma or one of our agency or network partners.

Our customers nominate the non-profits, and then it’s up for a public vote.

We start the program in October. If you’d like to learn more about Emma 25, be sure to visit:

Join Emma’s mailing list and we’ll make sure you our Community Updates. Cheers!

  5. If the nonprofit is based outside of the U.S., can it still be considered for your free service? I’m inquiring on behalf of Outward Bound Mexico, a low-budget nonprofit that helps vulnerable youth, such as gang members, inmates, etc. gain self-esteem and confidence through environmental / outdoor programs.

    Thank you!

  6. Suzanne Norman Suzanne Norman says:

Absolutely, Marissa. We’ll open up the Emma 25 program in the fall and ask Emma customers to nominate their favorite nonprofits from all over the world. Check back then and be sure and nominate Outward Bound Mexico – sounds like they’re up to some fabulous work for young people there.
