distributing files & documents with your email (Or, what about attachments?) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We don't allow you to include attachments with your campaigns because so many servers block emails with attachment on entry. The potential for viruses is great, and often too great for server administrators to let them through. Instead, we have a document library feature that allows you to easily post your files to our server and link your recipients right to them. Your library can store PDFs, documents from Word and Pages, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint and Keynote presentations, Flash movies, Quicktime videos, MPEGs, WAVs, zipped files and more. How to link to a document from your email: step 1: From your main campaign menu, look for the document library icon on the left side of the screen. Click that, and your library will open. Browse to find the file on your computer or network, and upload it. Your file will appear in the library's menu. step 2: While editing your email campaign, highlight the text (like 'click here to download our PDF') to be linked. Now click the toolbar's link icon and choose to link to a document. Select your document from the list. When a recipient clicks the linked text, it will take them to your document. step 3: Test your link in preview, and send yourself a test mailing to double-check the link from your inbox. You may add documents to your library over time, and remove old files to free up space for new ones (or increase your library's storage). |
